AUTHOR LINEUP ANNOUNCED!

After a fantastic inaugural event on April 5, the Varsity Letters Reading Series will return on May 3 at Happy Ending Lounge (305 Broome, between Forsythe and Eldridge).

This month's authors include:

Jeff Pearlman, author of "Love Me, Hate Me: Barry Bonds and the Making of an Anti-Hero"

David Margolick, author of "Beyond Glory: Joe Louis vs. Max Schmeling, and a World on the Brink"

Mark Lamster, author of "Spalding's World Tour: The Epic Adventure That Took Baseball Around the Globe -- and Made It America's Game."

As always, the reading will be hosted by Dan Shanoff, "Daily Quickie" columnist for ESPN.com.

Doors open at 7:30.
Readings start at 8-ish.
